Do you have questions about your child or teen with ASD’s sexual development? Does your child or teen engage in “inappropriate sexual behaviour”? Would you like to learn how to teach social boundaries to your child or teen with ASD? This workshop is designed for parents of children 8 to 17 years old. As part of this workshop we will discuss typical sexual development, how characteristics of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) can impact sexuality, specific concerns regarding ‘sexualized’ behaviours, strategies for intervening with inappropriate or high-risk sexual behaviour, and resources for additional support.

Parent/Caregiver Education and Training Workshops are available free to parents/caregivers of Geneva Centre for Autism clients aged 0-18 years old. Parent/caregiver education and training workshops provide an interactive space to learn new skills and strategies to support your child/youth at home and in the community.

It is strongly recommended that participants attend Behaviour 101 Part 1 & Part 2 initially as concepts and strategies are discussed within Behaviour 101 which are the foundation for many concepts discussed in other workshops.
