Do you wonder if your child is ready for toilet training? Are you unsure about which toileting method to use? Have you been unsuccessful with toilet training in past? This workshop will explore the challenges of toilet training and present strategies to increase success in your child’s toileting skills. As part of this workshop, we will discuss:
- How having an ASD may impact toilet training
- How to determine your child and family’s readiness to begin toilet training
- Strategies to increase success
- Methods for toilet training (Habit Training and Rapid Toilet Training)
- Topics for troubleshooting (fear of flushing, smearing, playing in bathroom, etc)
