Triple P: Group Stepping Stones provides support to caregivers of children with a developmental disability to increase their confidence in managing problem behaviour. The three P’s stand for “Positive Parenting Program” to help set rules and routines and encourage behaviours that caregivers would like to see more often from their child. This award-winning, clinically proven program allows caregivers to learn about strategies to ensure their home is safe, engaging and a positive learning environment for their child. Stepping Stones Triple P also teaches caregivers how to respond confidently and successfully to challenging behaviour.

Over 8 weeks, caregivers will be supported by certified Triple P facilitators in setting goals and receiving weekly direct feedback. Sessions will be divided into six online group sessions to teach the necessary Triple P principles and two weeks of 1:1 consultations as caregivers practice the skills at home with their child. Participants will be mailed the Group Stepping Stones Parent Workbook.

  • 5 weeks of remote group sessions (May 19th - June 16th)
  • 2 weeks of individual phone check-ins (June 22nd - July 3rd)
  • 1 follow-up remote group session (July 7th)
