Meet with a Behaviour Consultant to receive coaching and implement Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) strategies to address your family's needs and set specific goals for your child/youth/teen. The Behaviour Consultation Service is provided by a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA).
Service length: 8 consecutive weeks
Service Objective:
- Assess the behaviour of concern
- Provide strategies to address the challenging behaviour and teach new skills
What’s included:
- ​Weekly sessions with a Behaviour Consultant
- Development of a Safety Plan which includes an environmental assessment and recommendations
- Parent/Caregiver education, training and coaching
- Individualized strategies and resources
- Functional Behaviour Assessment to assess the behaviour of concern
- Behaviour Intervention Plan with strategies tailored to individualized goals
- Implementation of specific strategies through parent/caregiver coaching using a mediator model
- Monitoring of the Behaviour Intervention Plan
- Summary report of the service
