This workshop is available free to parents/caregivers of Geneva Centre for Autism clients aged 0-18 years old. When registering please provide your child’s full name.
Does your child have challenging behaviours that get in the way of their daily lives? Do you wonder why these behaviours keep happening? Are you looking for ways to avoid challenging behaviours, or to teach new skills? This 2-part workshop will teach parents strategies for assessing and targeting both current behaviours and those that may come up in the future. As part of this workshop, we will discuss:
- How to prevent the problem behaviour
- How to replace the behaviour with a more appropriate skill
- How to change the consequences to make the behaviour less likely to happen in the future
