Dr. Kelly Boyko is a registered Psychologist with extensive training, and clinical and school-based experience, in supporting children, youth and young adults with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and their families. She is a sought after and engaging speaker who has provided numerous presentations, workshops and training in the areas of ABA, anxiety, ASD, behaviour, counselling, de-escalation, developmental disorders, facilitation, mental health, parent-school relations, safety, and teamwork.

In Ontario schools, she is regarded as an expert on ASD. Dr. Boyko is currently the Managing Psychologist – Behaviour and Complex Needs at the York Region District School Board (YRDSB), where she is responsible for managing the Regional Behaviour Team and Complex Needs Services. In addition, she is: the current Chair of Managers’ Council; a Co-Chair on the Board’s Safe, Caring and Supportive Schools and Workplaces Committee; Board representative on the York Region ASD Day Treatment and Mobile Service Steering Committee; Board representative on the York Region Community Crisis Response Committee; and representative on the Board’s Autism Steering Committee. Within her current school board, Dr. Boyko has been instrumental in the roll-out and training related to PPM 140: Incorporating Methods of ABA into Programs for Students with ASD. She has presented at the Ontario Council for Exceptional Children on ASD- and ABA-related topics, and has co-created specialized educational resources for students with ASD. Through her work and enhanced school leadership training, Dr. Boyko has gained a comprehensive understanding of the ways in which school boards, community agencies, health care settings and organizations can work collaboratively to support individuals with ASD and their families. She is committed to improving the lives of those with ASD and their families, through advocacy, as well as provision of resources, supports and services, at a regional, provincial and national level.
