Description: OTs, SLPs and other professionals report that challenging behaviour and non-compliance are significant barriers to achieving therapy goals. The principles of applied behaviour analysis (ABA) offer practical solutions to professionals for maximizing clients’ success during therapy. In workshop, participants will explore how to minimize challenging behaviour and increase compliance and productivity during assessments and therapy sessions.
Learn practical strategies to reduce escape behaviours and increase motivation for clients to fully participate.
Learn practical strategies to encourage follow through with recommendations and practice outside of therapy.
Who Should Attend: This workshop is applicable to anyone providing therapy to individuals with ASD, ADHD and/or emotional and behavioural difficulties. Occupational Therapists, Speech and Language Pathologists, Psychologists, Psychiatrist, Social Workers, and all other therapy providers can benefit.
