Description: Spend a full day and take a journey with the Geneva Centre as we look deeper at the criteria and characteristics of a diagnosis of ASD. Gain a thorough understanding of common challenges and their impact on daily life while recognizing the many strengths and abilities as springboards for further learning. Social understanding, communication, cognitive processing, sensory processing and anxiety will be explored. After attending this workshop, participants will leave with a solid foundation and be prepared for further learning with the Geneva Centre for Autism.

- Identify characteristics associated with the diagnostic criteria for ASD
- Increase understanding of the impact of a diagnosis
- Gain a solid understanding of strengths and needs
- Develop a strong foundation for future learning in the area of ASD
