Attend this presentation to get an overview of autism spectrum disorders (ASDs) with a focus on autism, Asperger Syndrome and Pervasive Development Disorder Not Otherwise Specified (PPD-NOS). Learn how a diagnosis is made, how to recognize the characteristics of autism, current trends in autism research and common strengths and challenges of individuals with an ASD. An individual with an ASD will share their first-hand experiences and answer questions from participants.
