Outline of Presentation:
Dr. Evans will examine the various aspects of repetitive, compulsive behavior. He will describe the normal development of repetitive behavior, and discuss the similarities and dissimilarities between the normal (and adaptive) rituals,habits and routines in children, and those that emerge in neurodevelopmental disorders like autism. He will also explore the neurobiological mechanism of repetitive, compuslive behavior, as well as their possilbe evolutionary origins.
