Ron is a gifted 20 year old special young man "with autism”, diagnosed at the age of 3 and is basically a quiet and lovable individual. It was when he was 5 years old when he started to manifest his love for music. And at age 7, he started to play by just watching the screen of his electronic keyboard and learn them by himself. He was then taken in by a private piano teacher, and later enrolled to a school of music and now presently taken in by a renowned piano tutor and performer in the mississauga -oakville area.
Since year 2003 up to the present, Ron has been performing on several functions for different organizations in Ontario, Canada. and also in the Philippines. Some of which were the Autism Society of Ontario, Geneva Centre for Autism , Kerry’s Place for Autism, Bloorview McMillan Rehab Centre and the Autism Society of the Philippines Laguna Chapter, to name a few.
On May 23, 2009, he had his first major solo concert at BraeBen Golf Course, was attended mostly by guests who have touched Ron’s life. It was also the launching of his very first CD, titled "My Music and Me" mostly his favorite classical pieces, such as Fantasie Impromptu OP.66, Claire de Lune, Polanaise in A flat major. It was a fundraising event for the benefits of the autistic children of Paete, Laguna in the Philippines, the town where his grandparents came from.
He also acts as an Ambassador for the FCAPSG (Filipino Canadian Autism Parent Support Group), Ron’ second family, a support group of parents dealing with autism in their family. Ron had the honour for being the 2010 Symposium Ambassador for the Geneva Centre for Autism Symposium. held at Metro Convention Centre on November 2010. And on May 17th the following year, he performed for the Centre's Gala Night and Auction at the Koerner Hall at the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto.
At present, he works as an entertainer at the Viva Retirement Home in Mississauga where he is able to share his music to all the Seniors living there.
He is also busy working on his 2nd CD, which is mostly a compilation of his favorite slow music.
Because of music, it became apparent it has been his form of expression, which has helped him a lot in overcoming his “disability”.
