Parents as Partners in Their Child’s Education

Understanding Emotional Regulation in Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD)

Our Executive Director Dr. Lindy Zaretsky offers this informative workshop as she explores the following topics with parents:

  • Parent Engagement in the Development of the Individual Education Plan and Transition Planning
  • Parent and Student Advocacy in Schools
  • Successful Collaboration with School Staff
  • Equity and Inclusive Education

Dr. Zaretsky is a former Superintendent of Education who had responsibilities for Instruction and Assessment in Regular Education and Special Education K-12 and Leadership Development.

Dr. Zaretsky invites parents to speak to her after the workshop or book an appointment to discuss ways in which Geneva Centre for Autism can further support them in advocating effectively for their children in schools and as they transition from school to the adult world.

This workshop is only open to clinical clients of the Geneva Centre for Autism.

Please refer to the Parent Training Calendar for current information on Special Topics.
