We offer a wide variety of out-of-home respite programs throughout the year which provide participants with the opportunity to develop social interaction and leisure skills. To be eligible to attend the respite program, the participant must:
- Be successfully supported at the support ratio provided in the program
- Be living in Toronto
- Have a diagnosis of an ASD
Our evening respite program offers theme based sessions such as Multisport, Activity Day, and Make and Create which provides participants opportunities to engage in a variety of activities including sports, crafts, community integration, creative arts and drama.
Ratio: 1:2 (limited 1:1 spots available)
Age: 2-18 years
In our weekend respite program, participants come to our Centre on a Saturday or Sunday once a month and receive individualized support in a fun and safe environment.
Children’s Weekend Respite
Participants will be engaged in theme-based activities which encourage discovery, communication and socialization.
Step Down Weekend Respite
Participants in Step Down respite are supported to develop recreational and leisure skills where they will eventually be able to transition to less supported community-based programs. Participants will be engaged in theme-based activities which encourage discovery, communication and socialization.
