As children are participating in one of the Skill-Building groups, concurrent education and training will be offered to parents in 1-2 session workshops, addressing the skills to be introduced and developed in the children's skill-building programs. Concurrent training for each skill-building group will be one of the following:
- Introduction to Social Skills Development
- Discussing ASD with my Child
- Visual Transition Strategies
- Managing Anxiety Through Relaxation Techniques
- Parenting Strategies
- The Value of Reinforcement
- Generalization to Other Settings

A combination of play, conversation, paying attention and coping with change are always components of the skill-building groups. Through screening, it will be determined which group will best serve an individual child’s needs, as follows:
"Stepping Stones" Transition Services, at the request of a community program, may offer support to integrate the skills and strategies introduced, by sharing what has proved to be successful.
