Welcome to Geneva Centre for Autism's Asperger Program

Welcome to Geneva Centre for Autism's Asperger ProgramOur Asperger Program is designed to meet the specific needs of individuals with Asperger Syndrome between the ages of 12 and 18 years and their families.

The program comprises the following elements:

  • Individualized consultation with members of a multidisciplinary team including:

- Speech and Language Pathologists
- Occupational Therapists
- Behaviour/Communication Consultants
- Developmental Paediatrician
- Behavioural Psychologist

  • Series Workshops: Parent training on topics including behaviour, social communication and independent daily living.
  • Groups: Teen groups focusing on learning social boundaries, building self-esteem and coping with anger and anxiety.

Asperger Series Workshops

Asperger Series WorkshopsSeries Workshops are a valuable component of the Asperger Program. These parent-centred training sessions are scheduled throughout the year and focus on topics such as behaviour support, social communication skills and independent living. Parent participation and sharing of ideas and experiences are strongly encouraged.

Workshops are paired with individualized consultation with a member of the multidisciplinary team made up of Speech and Language Pathologists, Behaviour / Communication (B/C) Consultants, Occupational Therapists, a Behaviour Psychologist, Social Workers and a Developmental Paediatrician.

Asperger Groups

Asperger GroupsThese are groups for youth  (12 - 18 years) with Asperger Syndrome which run for 14 weeks each,  and include 4 - 6 participants per group.  Each group described below runs once per year.  Curriculae were specifically designed to target the specific needs of youth with Asperger Syndrome.


Please note: As with all Geneva Centre Social Skill groups, there is a subsidized fee associated with each of these groups.  Please speak to your consultant or social worker for details.
