Laurie McCarthy has been an educational consultant for children on the autism spectrum for the past eight years. She has taught in both the Ontario and Alberta School Systems and worked as an IBI (Intensive Behavioural Intervention) therapist for children with autism in both provinces as well. She is currently working as the ABA (Applied Behavioural Analysis) Specialist for the Lambton Kent District School Board in Chatham-Kent, which includes training on Autism Spectrum Disorder, Functions of Behaviour, ABA, Data Collection and Assessment and School Wide Positive Behaviour Support.
She provides support in the regular classroom education setting, providing consultation in the areas of program, social skills training and behaviour.
