Carolyn AysonA letter from Carolyn Ayson, a mother of two sons with Autism.

This fall Geneva Centre for Autism Foundation has launched a mail appeal to our families and other community supporters who believe strongly in the mission of Geneva Centre for Autism.

To continue providing innovative skills training, resources and supports for our children, youth and young adults, the Centre needs increased funding support from the Foundation.

That’s why the Giving Thanks Campaign asks those who know us best to choose Geneva Centre for Autism Foundation as their charity of choice this autumn and holiday season.

Every day thousands of children and family members from across the Toronto area receive the most advanced autism services and programs available anywhere thanks to the Centre’s dedicated staff and volunteers and, of course, the generosity of our donors.

This past year the Centre’s staff and volunteers teams demonstrated unsurpassed commitment to our client families by rallying colleagues, family members and friends to raise $30,000 for the our new youth and adult facility.

This is the first staff-led fundraising effort in the Centre’s history. On December 14, Geneva Centre for Autism announced that staff and volunteers had reached that goal and in the process set an employee fundraising precedent in Toronto’s developmental services sector.

“Throughout its history, Geneva Centre has been extremely fortunate to attract a high calibre of staff and volunteers who believe strongly in our mission and vision,” commented Executive Director Margaret Whelan. “With this exceptional gift, they have demonstrated to the community in a powerful way how much our new youth and adult facility is needed and valued.”

The Centre would like to pay tribute to the team who led the way in our fundraising effort and to recognize the community and business partners who generously supported us.
