On behalf of the staff, volunteers, and clients we serve at Geneva Centre for Autism, we would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who supported the 2013 Walk & Run.
On October 20th, 77 participants came out to walk, run or stroll their way along the waterfront to show their support for Geneva Centre for Autism. The exciting event kicked off at Exhibition Place and ended with a celebration in Nathan Phillips Square, where participants and supporters enjoyed music, food, samples from vendors, and great company.
We are thrilled to announce that this years’ Trailblazers team helped raise over $22,000 for Geneva Centre for Autism! These much needed funds will help the Centre in expanding job training programs for adults with autism to include new career choices, and in launching exciting new programs like a specialized track and field program, an adventure camp, and an early intervention social skills program from Australia. All of these programs are inspired by one thing, our vision – Successful Community Inclusion.
Thank you again for your generosity and ongoing support. We look forward to seeing you again next year, and together we can make the 2014 Walk & Run an even great success!
