![]() Geneva Centre for Autism hosted an appreciation event for BMO volunteers Every year volunteers from BMO generously give their time to our annual fundraising golfing tournament, the Butterfly Classic. BMO has provided title sponsorship for the event since 2002 and over the course of its nine year history it has raised $360,000 for Geneva Centre for Autism. Without the ongoing support of BMO and its team of volunteers, the tournament simply wouldn’t be the success it is today. Eleven BMO staff took a tour of the facilities at Geneva Centre for Autism, including the intensive behaviour program for preschool children and the new adult services building. They were all hugely impressed and inspired by the work of the Centre and the visit reconfirmed their commitment to the organization. Donica Friedman, Commercial Banking Area Manager for BMO, commented: ‘The Bank of Montreal recognizes the importance of volunteering and strongly supports volunteerism amongst our employees. It’s important for us all to give back and participate in our communities and we get a lot of satisfaction from using our talents to raise funds for the invaluable services offered by Geneva Centre for Autism. ![]() Donica Friedman, BMO Commercial Banking Area Manager and Holly Bannerman, Campaign Director, Geneva Centre for Autism, admire thank you cards made for the BMO volunteers by Geneva Centre clients. Margaret Whelan, Executive Director of Geneva Centre for Autism, added: ‘BMO volunteers have a very special place in our hearts. Over the last six years they have made a huge contribution to Geneva Centre for Autism. The dedication and support of the volunteers is invaluable. We’re looking forward to working together at this year’s Butterfly Classic and ensuring the relationship goes from strength to strength.’ |
