Highlights

• To date, 74 publicly funded school boards and authorities have participated in the initiative.
• To date, approximately 4,800 Teachers’ Assistants across Ontario have attended training. More Teachers’ Assistants (TAs) will be accessing the training as school boards book future sessions.
  
• Current funding for the initiative will allow Geneva Centre for Autism to extend the training for TAs to at least June 2009.
  
• 97% of participants who completed the post-training evaluation reported that the training met their expectations and the initiative’s stated objectives.
  
• Participants reported that their confidence level increased after attending the training.
  
• The Certificate Assignment for participating TAs is now available online at our E-Learning site, both in English and French.
  
• Participating boards/authorities are now starting to access electives such as:

ABA in the Classroom
Students with ASD: Inclusion and Peer Awareness
Understanding Sexuality and ASD
