Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) and Intervention in Autism Spectrum Disorders PDF Print
Participants will learn the basics of ABA as they apply to treating and teaching children with autism spectrum disorders.  You will learn: 1. What motivates human behaviour, especially that of your child or student with ASD 2. How to assess and understand behaviour problems 3. How to change behaviour and optimize teaching using ABA principles. Case examples will focus on pre-school and school-age children with Autistic Disorder, Aspergers or other PDDs at home and in the school. Participants will have opportunities to work in pairs or small groups to discuss and practice the principles or strategies presented.
