This presentation will outline and describe best practices of treatment and intervention strategies for individuals with Asperger’s Syndrome. Areas to be addressed will include social understanding and how to improve social communication difficulties, acknowledging anxieties, and focusing on learning styles that affect academic success. Discussion will also focus on developing friendship skills, understanding emotions, and the importance of these skills with references to recent research by Dr. Tony Attwood. |
