Most people with ASD are visual learners.  Learn about the importance of using visual aids to: improve both receptive and expressive communication skills; present instructions; provide structure; organize tasks and the environment; build new skills; teach basic time concepts and help with transitions.  Visual aids presented will include schedules, calendars, choice boards, task organizers, first-then boards and “universal no”.  Participants will have the opportunity to make a couple of visual aids for their personal use and will receive information regarding print and web-based resources.  This session is limited to 50 participants.
