 Participating in the Butterfly Classic is a fun and easy way for you to show your support for Geneva Center for Autism.It is thanks to corporations and individuals like you that Geneva Center for Autism is able to help thousands of families every year who are living with the challenges of autism. Imagine living in a world where you were constantly bombarded with messages that were incomprehensible to you, where you were constantly over stimulated, and where, no matter how hard you tried, you couldn't find the words to express yourself. That is the reality that children and youth with autism face each and every day. Autism is a complex development disorder that seriously affects the way individuals communicate and interact with others. More than one in 165 Canadian children currently has a form of autism, and the need for autism-related support and services has never been greater than it is right now. All proceeds for the Butterfly Classic are dedicated entirely to programs that make a difference in the lives of children and young adults with autism. |
