Choices for Adult Living: Group Services |

The Choices for Adult Living Program offers various group activities including the following 3 services:
- Social Skills Course: This course teaches participants about the skills needed for success in social situations. For example, people learn about "How to Make New Friends", "Anger Management", "Understanding Non-Verbal Communication" and "How to Initiate Conversations". This 1 year course consists of 26 separate sessions which occur every second week. The group allows for a continuous intake throughout the year so that a new participant can begin the course whenever a participant graduates from the course.
- Self-Management Skills for the Workplace: This course teaches participants about the skills needed for success in the workplace. For example, people learn about "How to Deal with Stress in the Workplace", "How to Communicate Effectively with your Boss and Co-workers" and "Sexual Harassment in the Workplace". This one-year course consists of 26 separate sessions which occur every second week. The group allows for a continuous intake throughout the year so that a new participant can begin the course whenever a participant graduates from the course.
- Social Club: This informal group offers participants the opportunity to 1) socialize with peers, 2) access social support and 3) participate in leisure activities. The group meets at regular intervals on an ongoing basis.
