Cooper R. Woodard, PhD, is the clinical director of the Groden Center in Providence, RI, and an adjunct professor at the University of Rhode Island and Wheaton College.
He has extensive experience in the treatment of persons with autism and
related developmental disabilities, and has conducted research in the
areas of repetitive behaviors and Exposure/Response Prevention, the use
of novel medications to treat problem behaviors and core symptoms
related to autism, and the positive psychology concept of courage. He
has developed a number of scales, including the Woodard-Pury Courage
Scale (WPCS), and the Assessment Scale for Postitive Character Traits -
Developmental Disabilities (ASPeCT-DD).
