What is IBI and is it the same as ABA? PDF Print
ABA stands for Applied Behaviour Analysis which is a scientific process to identify the functional relations between observable behaviour and environment context. ABA uses this information to design interventions to enhance social and personal well being. ABA is based on objective evaluation and empirically based interventions to achieve meaningful, generalizable and enduring behaviours. (Condensed from ONTABA Standards of Practice)

IBI stands for Intensive Behavioural Intervention which refers to the application of principles of ABA in an intensive setting (minimum 25 hours per week) to result in behaviour change and improvement.
