The After School Respite Program is a specialized, structured group program offering a variety of recreational and skill building opportunities for children with an Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Children are exposed to learning skills such as following routines, responding to group instructions, and developing social interaction skills. For the parents, the Program offers three or six hours of after school respite from Monday to Friday. Parents are able to register their child for up to nine three hour sessions a week.
Where is the program located?
When does the program start and end? Who can participate in the program? Children with a diagnosis of ASD and over 2 years of age When can parents apply? Parents can register their child in the program anytime during the year. How can parents apply? Please complete the application form and return to Geneva Centre for Autism. Fees: $36.00 - $45.00 per session Families may access up to 20 scheduled sessions at $15.00 per session over the course of the year. Please note that these funded spaces for the After School Respite Program are limited and are for Toronto families only. However, other spaces are available on a fee for service basis.
