Liane Holliday Willey is a Doctor of Education, an internationally respected speaker and writer on Asperger's Syndrome, and a researcher who specializes in the fields of psycholinguistics and learning style differences.
She has worked as an elementary education teacher, a waitress, a retail sales clerk and a university professor. Following years of improper diagnoses, she was properly diagnosed with residual Asperger's Syndrome in 1999. She is the author of Pretending to be Normal: Living with Asperger's Syndrome and Asperger Syndrome in the Family: Redefining Normal as well as the editor of Asperger Syndrome in the Adolescent Years: Living with the Ups, the Downs and Things in Between (all published by Jessica Kingsley Publishers). When Liane is not presenting information on Asperger Syndrome, she is likely to be found at her childrens' functions, working on her first novel, or consulting with businesses who are interested in building more effective communication paradigm.
