Jeanette MacAfee, M.D.Dr. McAfee is a physician who has a child of her own with high functioning autism and is internationally recognized for her work developing social-emotional skills training programs for individuals with high functioning autism, Asperger’s syndrome and related disorders. 

Jeanette is the founder and director of Social Solutions, a private clinic in northern California through which she provides individual and group social-emotional skills training, school assessments and program development, and other consulting services.   She has co-developed an innovative drama program designed to teach social-emotional skills through the use of theatre arts.  Jeanette is the author of the best-selling book, Navigating the Social World:  A Curriculum for Individuals With Asperger’s Syndrome, High Functioning Autism, and Related Disorders.  Dr. McAfee's practical, hands-on programs are used by parents, school districts, universities, and private practitioners in the fields of speech and language pathology, psychology, and special education.  Dr. McAfee presents at conferences and workshops internationally to rave reviews.
