Workshops are facilitated by a variety of professionals who work for or consult to Geneva Centre for Autism including a Speech Language Pathologist, Occupational Therapist, and Jumpstart coaches.

In the week following each workshop where relevant, parents can access one individual coaching appointment with a Jumpstart Coach.  Coaches support families by:

  • Addressing any questions about the information presented during the workshop
  • Modeling techniques discussed with the individual child and parent
  • Providing feedback to parents about how strategies or techniques are applied
  • Offering suggestions and recommendations for ongoing progress and development

Parents will benefit the most from accessing Jumpstart through active participation in workshops, discussion groups, and coaching. Workshops provide an opportunity for discussion, practice, and hands-on application with other parents. Parents are encouraged to ask questions and share stories, ideas, and experiences.  Inconsultants on strategies or techniques to support goals that they have on for their child.
