Services for Adults The Adult Day Program supports adults with an ASD to further develop the relevant skills that will enable them to participate in all aspects of their communities.  Depending on the individual objectives and/or interests of each participant, the program may be able to support individuals with a broad range of skill-building goals including:

  • Social skills
  • Community safety skills
  • Life skills
  • Self-management skills
  • Academic skills
  • Vocational skills

Services for AdultsFor those individuals who can participate successfully within a group setting, the Adult Day Program offers group activities every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. The group members participate in a broad range of structured group activities which include a combination of community-based outings and on-site activities.  In addition, the group members may be able to access one-to-one support in the community for up to three hours on Tuesdays or Thursdays in order to facilitate their participation in those specific activities that reflect their personal wants, needs and individualized learning objectives. For participants accessing individual supports, the program may be able to offer up to 7.5 hours of one-to-one support each week in order to enable adults with an ASD to participate in their preferred activities in the community.
