Every gift, regardless of the amount, enables Geneva Centre for Autism to enhance family services and support programs for children and adults living with autism.
There are a number of ways you, your community group, employees or your company can contribute to building these specialized resources for families in and around the GTA.
- Geneva Centre Campaign for Adults with Autism
Geneva Centre for Autism Foundation is preparing its first-ever major fundraising initiative to assist the Centre in continuing to pioneer new autism services in Toronto. For more information, please click here.
- Monthly Giving
For supporters who would like to give more but just can’t afford to contribute a lump annual sum, a monthly contribution makes a lot of sense. A scheduled gift through your credit card will provide for the ongoing needs at Geneva Centre for Autism. Monthly giving is an excellent way to show your long-term commitment to the Centre.
• Your contribution is divided into manageable portions, providing our families with support throughout the year.
• Monthly giving is easy as your donation is done automatically.
• One tax receipt will be sent out at the end of the calendar year.
For more information on becoming a monthly donor please call Heather Clark at 416 322-7877 ext. 229.
- Tribute Giving
Whether it is a birthday, anniversary or holiday celebration, you can include Geneva Centre for Autism in your special occasion by making a contribution in appreciation of your guests or by requesting your friends and family donate in lieu of giving traditional presents. Some donors even choose to make a gift honouring the memory of a loved one.
An acknowledgement card will be sent to the honoree or their family, informing them of your kind gesture. Your tax receipt, accompanied by a letter of thanks will follow shortly afterwards.

- Employee Giving
Employees of large and small companies alike can make a significant contribution to autism services. Some methods include…
• United Way. You can choose to direct your United Way pledges to benefit Geneva Centre for Autism.
• Employee Directed Contribution Programs and Matching Gifts. Companies such as IBM and BMO Financial Group have integrated community giving and volunteerism into their corporate programs, encouraging employees to get involved directly in enhancing and supporting the communities in which they live and work. Other companies allow their employees to direct their charitable giving programs through matching gifts. When an employee notifies the company that he/she has made a charitable donation, the company will make a gift of the same amount, and in some cases double the amount, to the same charitable organization. Matching Gift Programs are a wonderful way for employees to make their charitable dollars stretch farther at no cost to themselves.
To find out whether your company has an Employee Giving or Matched Gift Program please check with your HR or payroll department.
- Events
Fundraising at work or in the community makes everyone feel that they are making a tangible difference to improve the lives of those learning to live with autism. Consider one of these easy ways to take action for autism:
• Hold an event in your neighbourhood and donate the profits - a garage sale, barbeque, fashion show, bazaar or picnic.
• Your company networking event can also benefit the community – Donate the net profits from a golf, ski or other sport tournament, a walk-run-bike or dance-athon.
• Hold 50/50 draws or raffles.
• Even casual days at the office.
