Education and Training Options for ParentsGeneva Centre for Autism offers parents many opportunities to participate in educational workshops. These groups are facilitated by our behaviour communication consultants, speech language pathologists, occupational therapists, social workers and psychologists.

Where do I Begin? Parents are encouraged to attend each of the six Foundations and Special Topics  Workshops .

What are Foundations? The Foundations provide parents with basic information on autism that is drawn from clinical literature and a clear understanding of the specific challenges facing their child and how to cope with these challenges.

What are the Special Topics? Special Topics offer practical strategies in a small group setting. They are designed to follow a specific Foundation. The facilitators of any Foundation session can advise parents of a Special Topic based on their current situation and concerns.

When are the sessions offered? See our Calendar . They are offered to parents/caregivers only and there is no cost to attend the sessions.
