- Peer Support Groups for individuals aged 14 to 18.
- Palm® groups for a variety of ages, focusing on ways to organize scripts, stories, relaxation programs and contacts
- Drama groups for teenagers to build self-esteem and trust in others
Geneva Centre for Autism has been offering a variety of after-school Social Skills programs for many years. Well over 300 children participate in these programs each and every year.
While we do not receive government funding for these programs, the demand for them continues to grow. We do receive some support through donations from foundations and corporations that allows us to offer subsidized groups on a fee-for-service basis.
We remain committed to continuing to advocate for additional funding for this important service, and to expanding our fundraising efforts for this and other vital programs. If you are a client of Geneva Centre for Autism, and wish for your child to take part in a Social Skill-Building group, please contact the program’s Administrative Assistant at extension 245 to register for an orientation session.
