Are you unsure about whether your child’s ‘picky eating’ is a problem? Do you have difficulty getting your child to eat more than a few bites of food? Do you have difficulty getting your child to eat more than a few different foods? Parents learn about the eating patterns of typically developing children and the types of eating difficulties often experienced by children with ASD. Learn how to determine if your child has an eating difficulty.

Strategies to improve your child’s eating based on Applied Behaviour Analysis are reviewed. These strategies include prompting, modeling, reinforcement, shaping, visual cues, and scripting. Session provides an opportunity to discuss specific eating difficulties.

Facilitated by: Child and Family Consultants (Jumpstart Program)
