Anthony Attwood, Ph.D.
Tony Attwood is a clinical psychologist with over 20 years of experience in diagnosing, assessing, and treating individuals with Autistic Spectrum Disorder. His original postgraduate research was conducted with Dr. Uta Frith and examined the social skills of children with autism. Tony has published several papers, book chapters, and two books in this area, most recently Asperger Syndrome: A Guide for Parents and Professionals, (Jessica Kingsley Publishers, Ltd. 1997), which is now in its third printing, and will soon be translated into Japanese. A frequent lecturer on Asperger Syndrome, Tony is writing a third book on autism and is planning a fourth book dealing with adults with Asperger Syndrome. He currently works in private practice in Brisbane, Australia and lives in Queensland.
